Freak Factor by Viola Grace

Living life on Kaddaka station was predictable and profitable. Mala's talent for undetectable repairs has made her quite wealthy and the station quite popular.

When a Reflex ship comes in hot, out of control and unable to stop, she is the woman for the job. The job itself is an audition for the Sector Guard, but unless Mala is successful the passengers of the ship will never be able to tell her the good news.

Isabi has been less than enthusiastic about meeting his new partner, until he sees her. Suddenly his interest is peaked. She doesn't seem to notice the pheromones that he exudes and she certainly doesn't fawn all over him.

This woman may be worthy of her position as his partner, and he will not have her working with anyone else. Their talents make them the perfect team, now he just has to prove it to her.

I liked this book. I just wish that I read the books in the proper order and then maybe I would have been able to understand the plot line a little bit more then I did. That said it did have a good plot to it. As well as good character development for the size of the book. I do wish that the book was a little bit longer.

Hot and Badgered by Shelly Laurenston

It’s not every day that a beautiful naked woman falls out of the sky and lands face-first on grizzly shifter Berg Dunn’s hotel balcony. Definitely they don’t usually hop up and demand his best gun. Berg gives the lady a grizzly-sized t-shirt and his cell phone, too, just on style points. And then she’s gone, taking his XXXL heart with her. By the time he figures out she’s a honey badger shifter, it’s too late.

Honey badgers are survivors. Brutal, vicious, ill-tempered survivors. Or maybe Charlie Taylor-MacKilligan is just pissed that her useless father is trying to get them all killed again, and won’t even tell her how. Protecting her little sisters has always been her job, and she’s not about to let some pesky giant grizzly protection specialist with a network of every shifter in Manhattan get in her way. Wait. He’s trying to help? Why would he want to do that? He’s cute enough that she just might let him tag along—that is, if he can keep up . . .

I enjoyed reading this book. The plot of the book was very well developed even when it kept jumping between different characters points of view, a little more then I am normally use to. I got really hooked on this book after reading the prologue. It lead the book off to a good start on the relation ship between the sisters. There was good character development off all the main characters of the story. I like that no matter what Charlie and her sisters do Berg is willing to stick with her and help her and her sisters. Overall this is a very good book and I can not wait to read the books about the other two sisters and more books by Shelly Laurenston.

Arena Station by Viola Grace

Leaving Earth had been Kyra's idea. Being stolen while in stasis and sold to an arena was not. Fighting for her life everyday, plotting her escape, took up most of her time. When she was forced into an intimate situation with one of the alien gladiators, she suddenly had other things to think about. Tiergar was a champion, one of the highest and deadliest rankings of gladiators on the arena station, and he had no problem taking what he needed. As often as he needed it. Kyra had a lot to think about, and not a lot of time to do it.

I really liked this book. I do wish that it was longer but it still was a good read for the length that it is. The fist time the two main characters meet each other I wish had more talking parts in it. Also for the length of the book the plot was well developed and had a good conclusion to it. I can not wait to continue with this series.

Let Me Be the One by Bella Andre

How far would you go for a friend?

Back in San Francisco preparing for her big art show, Vicki Bennett needs help protecting herself and her career from the unwelcome advances of one of the judges. She knows that her longtime friend and baseball star, Ryan Sullivan, will know just how to handle things, and he's the only person she can imagine asking for help.

Ryan is thrilled to have Vicki back in his life, and he will do anything to protect her from harm, including playing the role of "pretend boyfriend." But when their staged kisses and caresses lead to an incredibly sensual night, they both worry that they may have damaged their friendship forever.

Have they made the worst mistake possible? Or is the perfect combination of friendship and love finally within reach?

This is a good book because it has very good action and some good romance parts to it. This book also has a very good plot line to it. I love most of the characters in this book because they are really awesome people and they are willing to do anything for their "family" no matter what. I love Vicki and Ryan because they are awesome people and I also like what they are willing to do for each other no matter the cost. Overall this is a very good book.

Dark Wolf by Christine Feehan

In Dark Lycan, Christine Feehan journeyed into the heart of the Carpathians, and into the souls of two lifemates stirred by the flush of passion and the threat of annihilation. In Dark Wolf, the breathtaking story continues as the bonds of family are imperiled, and the fate of two lovers lies hidden in the seductive shadows between life and death.

Skyler Daratrazanoff always recognized the miracle that was Dimitri Tirunul, a man beyond any dream that had ever engaged her nights. But she was human. Vulnerable. He was Carpathian. Nearly immortal. She was nineteen. He was an ancient. Yet she held half his soul, the light to his darkness. Without her, he would not survive. Caught between the two warring species, Dimitri has spent centuries hunting the undead to keep his people free, and humans safe. He had survived honorably when others had chosen to give up their souls. But now, marked for extermination by the Lycans, Dimitri found himself alone, and fearing for his life. But salvation was coming…

No Lycan would ever suspect someone like Skyler to dare mount a secret rescue operation. A teenage girl. A human of untested abilities. But she had something no one else had. She was predestined for Dimitri—as he was for her. And there was nothing stronger for Skyler than her desire to see her life-dream come true. Whatever the risk.

This is a super amazing book. The plot of this book is really good. I like the action and the romance parts of this book. The characters of this book are really awesome. I love that most of them are Carpathian and I also love that the main characters are willing to do anything for Dimitri no matter the cost to themselves. Skyler and Dimitri make a very cute couple because they are willing to die for one another also the will do absolutely everything in their power to save each other no matter what the danger. Overall this is one a really awesome book and in my opinion one of the best in this series by Christine Feehan.

In time Tatijana and Fenris will discover all that unites them—their secrets and pasts, their predators, and the hot flush of passion that stirs their souls.
